Kenechi Udogu

Kenechi Udogu is a Nigerian-born England-based writer and architect whose writing centers on culturally diverse characters in sci-fi, horror and fantasy fiction genres, particularly female protagonists who stand strong in challenging conditions. Her short story, Locked, was long-listed for the 2021 Commonwealth Short Story Prize. She is an alumna of the HarperCollins Author Academy Spring 2022 Writing for Children course and the RCW and Knights Of 2021 children’s publishing workshop for aspiring authors of color. She belongs to the Megaphone Community which provides support for authors of color who write for children or teenagers. She is also a contributor to Worldreader’s digital library (a literacy global non-profit organization).

Kenechi loves singing with choirs and hopes to one day figure out how to hibernate in winter.
